The fortune telling machines (created between 2004 and 2007, and located at area businesses until 2011) were public artwork to be placed in grocery stores, retail stores or wherever coin operated machines are found. The machines vend fortune tickets that give the statistical likelihood of events connected to the American Dream. Data is pulled from the US Census and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
